Since 2002, WhiteBook has been directing consultancy projects in information systems and technology and, simultaneously, developing e-Business solutions and applications for a very interesting group of clients, both for the public and the private sector at an European level.

The development of these projects has allowed us to conclude that we had the opportunity to create an integrated e-Business platform that could be mass-produced and therefore constitute an innovative product for the Small and Medium-sized Companies and Organisations market at a low cost.

This initial technological consultancy development phase, with the know-how and the academic training for development of its own software with OpenSource tools, has made it possible to constitute a new area completely focused on the development, improvement and creation of WhiteBook’s line of products.

The use of OpenSource and Linux tools comes from the fact that we are dealing with emerging tools and a safe and viable alternative to other manufacturers.

Furthermore, it has allowed the autonomy of WhiteBook without the need to depend on other manufactures. This way, we control the tools, the code and therefore the final product - designing and developing it regarding the clients and the market’s needs.
